Getting to Lavender Lodge

Lavender Lodge is in Hoole Village, just to the north-east of Chester centre. It’s about a mile from the city centre, and easily reached by bus or on foot. There are detailed directions below for those arriving by car.

Here are the distances to the main transport links -

  • M53 motorway (giving access to North Wales, Liverpool, Manchester and the airports) – 1½ miles / 5 minutes
  • Chester Railway Station - ½ mile (5 minutes by taxi)
  • National Express coach arrivals and departures (Vicars Lane coach stand - no facilities) – 1 mile (10 minutes by taxi) A new coach station is being built in Chester, and until this is completed  National Express services currently arrive and depart from a street stand in Vicars Lane, where there are unfortunately no dedicated facilities. However the Visitor Centre across the road provides refreshments and toilet facilities during daytime opening hours.
